You probably already realize water is essential – after all, we can’t make coffee without it.

But did you know we’ve got one of the foremost water stewardship efforts anywhere right here on campus?

From theatre for social change to coordinating academic programs, the One World One Water Center for Urban Water Education and Stewardship at MSU Denver (OWOW) has an interdisciplinary approach to advocacy that’s truly one-of-a-kind.

So with the advent of the Denver Metro Water Festival happening on MSU Denver’s campus May 17, we sat down for a cup of joe with OWOW’s Director Tom Cech and Manager Nona Shipman. Take a listen as we chat about partnering with Industrial Design students for rain barrel innovation, the Clean River Design Challenge and other innovative approaches to becoming more hydro-logical.
